Admission Policy

Academia de Sophia International is primarily an academic-oriented educational institution.  Attendance and participation in all School activities and completion of all academic tasks are strictly monitored.  No exemption from learner duties shall be granted by any reason except of illness and emergency cases.

Admission to the School is subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the school.  The School reserves the right, at any time, to refuse admission or readmission of any applicant or a returning student under lawful conditions that include the following:

  1. Inadequate admission requirements
  2. Academic deficiency
  3. Repetitive violation in cheating and plagiarism
  4. Persistent or grave behavioral issue or misconduct (e.g. bullying, sexual misconduct, assault, drugs)
  5. Violation of or non-cooperation to or refusal to obey School’s rules and regulations by either learner or parents

Admission Procedures

New Student

  1. Obtain, complete, and submit the application documents from the Registrar’s Office.
  2. Set a date for the entrance test with the Registrar.  It is important to arrive on time.
  3. If the applicant passes the paper test, the applicant will be scheduled for an interview with the Principal.
  4. The parents of the applicant will also be interviewed separately.
  5. A notification to officially enroll will be forwarded to the parents when the screening process is successful.
  6. To enrol, go to the Registrar or proceed to the Online Enrollment page and complete the forms.
  7. Pay school fees to the Registrar or upload a copy of the proof of payment.

Returning Student

  1. Returning students are required to pay a Reservation Fee until the deadline set by the School.
  2. Non-payment of the fee will not guarantee a slot for the student after the due date.
  3. The School may proceed to screen new applications for slots not reserved by current students.

Admission for Special Cases

Admission and readmission is subject to School regulations.

  1. A student may be required to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the School if necessary, to subject the learner to certain academic or behavioral conditions, before officially enrolling the learner.
  2. A student may be required to undergo psychological assessment on the basis of previously documented behavioral concerns prior to admission.
  3. Individual cases are always kept confidential and documents are solely used for the purposes of developing appropriate learning and behavioral interventions for the learner.

  4. Certificate of Character and Financial Clearance (from previous school attended)
  5. AdSI Form 2 (Recommendation from previous teachers, downloadable)
  6. Completed AdSI Form 3, Form 4, and Form 5 (available online)
  7. Parent Questionnaire (for new learners, available online)
  8. Student Health Record (available online)
  9. 4 Copies of 2×2 ID pictures with white background

Foreign Student

  1. All forms enumerated above
  2. Special Study Permit
  3. Passport’s bio-page, latest arrival, and visa status
  4. Parents’ bio-page, latest arrival, and visa status

School Fees

  1. School Fees are discussed privately with the applicant’s parents.
  2. Please call 074 446 7918 to talk to the Registrar.
  3. School Fees is composed of tuition, miscellaneous fees, and other fees.
