It is with great hope and excitement that we welcome you all to Academic Year 2020-2021.
The past few months have tested our patience and resilience due to the physical closure of schools brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, but we are able to come through with our unwavering perseverance and dedication. The current situation sustains the huge challenge of continuing and enabling learning amidst the uncertainties and imponderables of our time. Although we have originally aimed to pursue blended learning as our learning modality to allow some face-to-face classes, it is in our best interest to heed government regulations and gear up for an entire year of online and modular distance learning as the safety and health of our stakeholders remain our priority. Distance learning is nothing new in education; however, it is new for most of us since it calls for greater autonomy, responsibility, and flexibility among the stakeholders. Hence, we urge everyone to prepare ahead and recalibrate our expectations to help ourselves get through its demands and challenges. To help us hurdle them, we are introducing the ADSI Hub, or the Adaptive Digital System of Instruction Hub, the official learning management system of our School in order to facilitate better implementation of distance learning. While we cannot guarantee that there will be no glitches or problems during the year, we are confident that we shall overcome them through open communication and collaborative resolution. We understand the anxiety and stress created by the pandemic, but we have a mandate to deliver accessible and liberating quality basic education, even if that means we will be seeing each other less for at least one year. This is that time when we would greatly need the support, encouragement, and cooperation of each other more, so that we can make our lives easier together from a distance. One day, we will all look back and say, “It was tough, but as One AdSI, we did it!”
